Cabbage Soup

lb. ground beef (or you can use spicy sausage)

cans diced tomatoes

medium head cabbage, shredded in strips

large onion, chopped

celery ribs, chopped

tsp. pepper

tsp. oregano

tsp. garlic salt
Crushed red pepper flakes (about 1/8 tsp.)

Brown
the beef in a large skillet and add onions once it is mostly cooked. Allow
onions to sauté until translucent. Pour in large pot and add tomatoes, cabbage,
celery, spices, and 2-3 cups water (don’t let it become dry). Bring to a boil
and then cover and simmer on low for 20 minutes or until vegetables are cooked.

5-6 medium servings
