Monkey Bread (& Biscuit Bites)


Monkey Bread & Biscuit Bites

Frozen Rhodes dough balls, defrosted according to pkg. directions OR 1 tube flaky butter biscuits (Pillsbury)
¼ cup sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 TB cinnamon
¼ cup butter

-Mix sugars and cinnamon in a bowl and set aside.
-Melt butter in separate bowl.
-Peel biscuits apart and cut each one into 6 pieces (like pie slices)
-Dip each piece in butter and then roll in sugar mixture.  Place each piece in a muffin tin, filling each about ¾ full.
-Let biscuits rise while oven preheats.
-Cook for 15-18 minutes at 350 degrees. Make sure top is crispy but not overcooked.
-Eat from the muffin tin or turn the pan upside-down on a baking sheet and allow the sauce at the bottom of each muffin cup to drip down through.

Biscuit Bites: Place the cut biscuit pieces on a cooking sheet. Sprinkle with 2 TB Parmesan cheese and 1 tsp. onion powder. Bake at 400 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until golden brown.

Yields: 12 large muffin cups
