Stuffed Spinach Loaf


Stuffed Spinach Loaf

1 lb. Italian sausage
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. dried basil
1 loaf frozen bread dough or 1 lb. bread dough
10 oz. spinach (medium sized bag)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

In large skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain, then sprinkle with basil and salt. Roll out bread dough into 13x10 inch rectangle. Sprinkle with meat mixture, spinach, and cheese. Roll up, starting with a long side, pinching seams to seal and tucking them under. Place loaf seam side down on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Serve warm and refrigerate leftovers.
