Mom's Cinnamon Swirl Bread


Mom’s Cinnamon Swirl Bread

1/3 cup sugar
2 cups warm water
1 ½ TB yeast
1 ½ tsp. salt
6 cups flour
¼ cup oil

Prepare yeast in warm water and sugar. Add salt, oil, and flour cup by cup. Mix until dough doesn’t stick to sides of the bowl.  Let sit one hour. Punch down and roll out into 9x14” slab.

Spread with 1 TB butter, ½ cup brown sugar, and 2 tsp. cinnamon. Roll up and place in lightly greased loaf pan. Let rise again. Bake for 30 minutes at 350. Baste with butter while bread is still warm. Remove and cool on wire rack.

Yields: 1 loaf
